Support

BUCORUDA seeks support in the following projects:

- Early weaning feed formulations for the HIV/ AIDS orphans, malnoursihed children. We promote the use of locally available farm products - peanuts, soyabeans, sesame, millet, honey, moringa and maize flour. This project costs about US$ 5,000 per complete session of 3 months.

- Crop and animal husbandry

We are seeking support in the promotion of crops such as soya beans, millet, peanuts, moringa that have a quick life cycle and can supplement household food supplies. Bee keeping - honey is a good source of micronutreints for infants, propolis, royal jelly which are immuno boosters. Small ruminants especially goats ( for milk) can greatly supplement household incomes and nutrition. An undertaking in any of these subsectors can cost between US$ 5000 - US$ 20,000.

- Cottage industry - knitting, making of products from bee keeping - floor varnish, polishes, candels, yourghut. Each of the sesssions can take an estimate of US$ 2,000.

- Water and Sanitation

Provision of safe water from spring well protection, borehole construction, rainwater harvesting and home based personal health services.

- Support in the project formulation and funding search with the assistance of  volunteers.

- Institutional support to the BUCORUDA staff

We are still a young organisation that needs training of staff in the sector of human resource managment and other capacities deemed important for the organisation.
